fair dingo

First off I need to say thank you. I’ve had a rough couple weeks.Though some good has come from it, It’s made me realise how lucky I am to have the friends and family I have, support has been unconditional and jees you have no idea how much its helped me. So thank you, I really do appreciate everything. Ok enough of the emo crap ill try be less of a moody bastard from now on J.

I’ve been emailing back and forth the consulate in Australia in regards to work visas and how and if I qualify. I was worried about my lack of experience in social work and thought I may have to work in the UK to gain experience before they will accept me; the lady at the consulate pointed me towards this stipulation.......* click to enlarge

Basically it means if you do the 3yr social work degree you need 3 years experience to make up for the lack of an honours degree, she said with my honours degree I can come to Australia without experience. I also don’t need a job offer as social work is on the priority list of jobs needed. This is cool because least I can have a look around while I’m there and find a position I like.
I then had to go through the lengthy application process; they asked me every question besides my shoe size! I had to be super truthful as didn’t want to jeopardise ever getting a visa. I needed to put a first choice and a second choice of where I would like to live and work. I was worried I would be put in a crap area but my first choice was accepted – SydneyJ. So hopefully I’ll be off to Australia as soon as my degree lands in my hands. Here are the visas I have qualified for * click to enlarge :

I’m stoked I’m on their system though they said the visa is on condition of me passing my course, this has given me the kick up the backside I needed as the next few months of Uni are going to be hectic ....

Grant and Bazza I know we are amped to hit South America next year but may have to make it shorter trip if this works out I can’t be out of Aus for more than 2months at a time for the first 2 years L. I’m still amped for a mission though it just would have to be shorter.

Just had an amazing weekend away with Nacnud. We cruised to Oribi gorge. Was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The highlight was obviously the Oribi Gorge Bungee, flip it was scary. Me and dad tossed a coin to see who went first, he won. So we got harnessed up, somehow I managed to get harnessed up by a new guy, he looked puzzled as to why it wasn’t going on until one of the other workers pointed it out he had put it on me backwards, after that he put it on way too tight which made my private bits and half my intestines pop out the front, my confidence was not too high.So Nacnud jumped off into the unknown>>>>

when he was getting pulled up the guy on the ledge shouted ‘oh shit’ , I shat myself, I thought the rope had snapped or something as I couldn’t see over the ledge, the guy said dad was ok but the wind had blown him under the waterfall, haha so Nacnud came up soaked to the bone.

It was then my turn to jump, its hard to explain what its like, basically its like an extreme adrenalin rush followed by an extreme wedgie, no thanks to the new guy who did my harness. I also came up bone dry to the dismay of dad.

The next day dad and i cruised around to see the sites, was breathtaking. I had to share a room with dad, and as everyone knows he snores like a champ. This resulted in me sleeping on the toilet floor with wet toilet paper stuffed in my ears, I was paranoid dad would walk in half asleep and pee on my head. He did come in for a pee luckily not on me but he did manage to fart before leaving the toilet which was lovely.

Im hopefully off to Mozambique this weekend with a couple friends, its always been a dream of mine to go there, it has one of the longest waves in the world! so if the swell is looking ok  we going to drive up and spend a few days checking it out.
Heres a few recent pics..... *click on pics to enlarge
