Bravefart

Been a great weekend. Went for a surf on Saturday with my friend Alan, first time trying out my new board. Waves were big and messy but got a couple ok ones and the board seems to go well, though I would like to try it out in smaller cleaner surf. The water was of course cold and with every brain freezing duckdive all I could think of was surfing in durban wearing board shorts , boo hoo :(  after the surf I arrived home where Hannah had just made a fresh batch of muffins which i devoured with a large coffee....all was right in the world.

That evening went to Esme's 21st birthday ceilidh, which is Scottish shindig with lots of traditional dances and a live band. To say the least I friggin hate dancing in the best of times, but this was really fun...complicated but fun, though I think I was responsible for about 17 toe fractures to my very patient partners. Oh and I wore a kilt for the first time, was liberating :)
